Assisted Launch

Assisted Launch

Agree with the flyer what signal will be given when he or she is ready for you to launch.

Make sure the kite is the correct way up , with the gauze vent above the spar pocket and facing the wind.

Hold the kite lightly near the centre of the spar. When the flyer signals, gently release it without pushing or pulling against the tension of the lines.

If the wind is very light the flyer may have to walk back to aid lift off. Try to walk back at the same pace as the flyer for a few steps before letting go.
